Lena's Wreath Decor

An online store for handmade wreaths shipped across the US, with customer accounts, several payment options and an order back office.

What we built

  • Storefront with shop by season, product pages and search
  • Saved cart and abandoned-cart reminder emails
  • Customer accounts with email or Google sign-in; saved cards are stored by Stripe
  • Checkout with card, PayPal, Venmo and Zelle, with prices recomputed on the server
  • Next.js
  • PostgreSQL (Neon)
  • Stripe
  • PayPal
  • Netlify

The storefront

Shoppers browse by season and can come back to a cart that's waiting for them.

Accounts and checkout

Shoppers can create an account with email or Google sign-in to see their order history and saved addresses. Saved cards are stored by Stripe, so card numbers never touch the site. Checkout accepts card (Stripe), PayPal, Venmo and Zelle, and prices are recomputed on the server, so a tampered cart can't change what's charged.

The back office

Everything that happens after the sale is handled in one admin.

SEO and AI search

Every page has its own metadata. The store publishes Product/Offer, Florist/LocalBusiness, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList structured data, a sitemap, an llms.txt file and a robots.txt that welcomes AI crawlers.

Stack and services

A Next.js app with PostgreSQL on Neon, Stripe, PayPal and Venmo for payments, and Google sign-in, deployed on Netlify.

Services used: e-commerce development for a small shop, automated cart and order emails, product SEO and AI search readiness. More stores for makers and small shops.

Next project: Donna Rodrigues, an author website and signed-book store.

Frequently asked questions

Can I accept Zelle and Venmo on my own store?

Yes. This store takes card payments through Stripe, plus PayPal, Venmo and Zelle.

Are customer card numbers stored on the website?

No. Saved cards are stored by Stripe. The website never sees or keeps the card number.

What are abandoned-cart reminders?

When a shopper leaves items in the cart after giving an email address, the store can send a reminder email about what they left behind.

Why have your own store instead of only selling on a marketplace?

A store you own means your own customer list and no marketplace rules over your listings. It also lets you add exactly what the business needs, like custom orders and a two-way email inbox.
