Website maintenance services and managed hosting, from one team

We host and look after your website or app so you can run your business. It runs on servers we manage, with the domain, SSL, email records and nightly off-site backups taken care of, and when something breaks, you know exactly who to contact: us.

What's included in hosting and maintenance

Hosting covers what we build, from marketing websites and online stores to custom web apps and installable PWAs, plus sites built elsewhere. Every plan covers the basics an owner shouldn't have to think about, and we confirm the exact list for your site in your written quote:

Your domain: who owns what

Your domain is the most important thing you own online, so ownership should be clear from day one. We can hold and manage domains for clients, handling renewals, DNS and the records that keep email working. If you already have a registrar account, we can work inside it instead. Either way, we put in writing who owns the domain, and the answer should be you. If you ever move on, we help transfer it wherever you choose.

Website migration services: off Wix, WordPress, Netlify or Fly.io

We move websites, apps and databases off platforms that have become expensive, slow or hard to change, including Wix, WordPress, Netlify and Fly.io. Every migration follows the same steps:

  1. Inventory. Every page, file, form, redirect, DNS record and integration is written down before anything moves.
  2. Copy. Content, images and data move to the new setup, and old URLs are mapped to new ones with 301 redirects.
  3. Private preview. You review the moved site on a preview link, such as yourname.prosperflow.dev, before anyone else sees it.
  4. DNS cutover. We switch the domain at a planned time, with the old host still running as a fallback.
  5. Monitoring. We watch traffic, forms, email and errors after the switch and fix anything that slipped.

Past migrations include moving a church's website off a hosted CMS, along with its domain, DNS and SSL, and rebuilding a landscaping company's WordPress site with legacy URLs either kept or redirected in a single hop.

If something breaks

Things break: an update fails, a server has a bad day, someone deletes the wrong page. Here's what happens. We get an alert, or you tell us. We find the cause. If data or files are damaged, we restore them from the latest nightly off-site backup, which means changes made after that backup may need to be redone. Then we tell you what happened, in plain words.

We don't promise perfect uptime, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What you get is one person to contact, backups stored somewhere else, and a restore process we've practiced.

Taking over a site we didn't build

You don't need to have built your site with us. Before we take on website maintenance for an existing site, we go through an onboarding checklist:

Frequently asked questions

Do I keep my domain and email?

Yes. Your domain stays yours, and we put that in writing. Unless we plan otherwise together, your mailboxes stay with your email provider, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. We carry over the DNS records that route your mail (MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC) so email keeps flowing after the move.

Will my site go down during the migration?

We plan for little or no downtime. The new site is built and checked on a preview link first, the DNS change is scheduled, and the old host keeps running until the new one is confirmed. DNS changes take time to reach everyone, so a short overlap is normal. We can't promise zero downtime, but we plan to avoid it.

Where are backups stored?

Off-site, on storage separate from the server your site runs on, so a server failure doesn't take the backups with it. Backups run every night.

Can I leave later and take everything with me?

Yes. We hand over what's yours: your content, files and media, a database export, help transferring the domain, and the code we wrote for your project. We spell out code and domain ownership in your written quote, so there are no surprises later.

Do you maintain sites you didn't build?

Yes, after the onboarding checklist. We take a full backup first, review what's there, and tell you in writing what we'd fix before we start making changes.
